Formal Governor Of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose Denies All Charges, Tells EFCC To Take Him To Court

Ekiti State Formal Governor, Ayodele Fayose, was eventually taken into custody after the dramatic scenes he created yesterday on his arrival at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC office in Abuja.

The EFCC is expected to query him on the receipt from the Office of the former National Security Adviser (ONSA) the sum of N1.3billion and $5.377million. He was accused of embezzling money totalling N4.6 billion, part of funds stolen from defense vote.

Ayodele Fayose however,denied all the charges against him and promised to battle it out in court.

“So far, he has not responded to how he came about N1.3billion and $5.377million from ONSA. He has more issues to clarify; we are going to detain him” – EFCC Official.
