A woman, Victoria Burgess, 27, has bitten off a piece of her friend Jenna Edwards’ ear during a drunken row in Newport, South Wales.
Disturbing footage shows Burgess pinning down her 31-year-old victim on the floor of Yummies kebab shop.
She then plants her teeth into the ear of Jenna, who can be head screaming: “Get off me, Victoria!”An onlooker rushes in to separate them but the damage has already been done.
Jenna is left clutching the remains of her ear but the attack isn’t over.
The woman launches one last kick attack to her head before walking away.
The Enraged attacker Burgess can then be seen plucking the ear from her bloodied mouth as the brief footage comes to an end.
Prosecutor Bethan Evans said the pair started arguing after Jenna accused her friend of stealing, in the incident on April 6.
“The defendant started screaming at her, something about stealing,” she said.
“The victim’s memory is poor but she remembers pain in her ear and blood dripping down her arms.
“Her only recollection is of looking down and seeing part of her ear on the floor.
“She picked it up and threw it back to the ground, horrified at the sight of it.
“The pain was excruciating.”
Newport Crown Court Jurors were told the severed ear was stored in the fridge at the kebab shop so it could be reattached by surgeons. Mum-of-two Jenna said she had “never felt so scared in my life” and “could not stop crying”. She underwent therapy with leeches.
Andrew Kendall, defending, said: “This is a horrible offence – there is no getting away from that.”
Judge Daniel Williams called the incident “utterly sickening”.
“The attack was so sudden, brutal and unexpected that the victim has little recollection of it,” he added.
“Witnesses described you preventing the victim from escaping your clutches.
“You sat on top of her and with chilling determination you bit into her ear.”
Burgess, of Newport, admitted wounding with intent and was jailed for four and a half years.
